You need to be in a peaceful place were you can relax and close your eyes take the any worries of that day, some music can help also some candles ( scented or non ).

At the start it helps in a workshop or circle that you are talk through the meditation as you can be given a task to do when you get into the depth of that meditation.
That task can be a word, item, colour, sound or other items to bring back from that meditation, this is given by a spirit for you to give to another person in the group working with you .
This will show you that you can work with spirit as in that meditation a loved one, guide or just a person ( Spirit ) in depth of your peaceful walks etc in your mind. You will be talk though this by a medium as how to bring back the things that I said above.
